2007. a bit...

Surfing the Web, landed on this website where I can make play lists or listen to Others. 45 songs per play list. This is a playlist of songs that I listen to when I don't feel so Shiny and Happy. I think that I found all my favorites. I made a mix cd a few years ago titled "Music to slit your wrists by". Yes, I am being sarcastic. I can't help but to feel better after listening to songs like Chevelle's "One Lonely Visitor" or the Lauryn Hill songs "Ex-Factor" and "I Gotta find Peace of Mind". Can you feel the sadness, the desperation? (and a little bit of crazy) Nine Inch Nails' "With Teeth" is in my TOP 5 Best Records Of All Time, as is "Soul Mining" from The The. My Ex turned me on to The The 10 years ago, and for that, I will always be grateful. No Doubt's "Don't Speak" reminds me of my friend Donna. I miss her. Fiona Apple's "Tidal" is sad and beautiful. I settled for Colin Hay's "Overkill" but I wanted to add "Waiting for my Real Life to Begin (acoustic)" but it is not listed on the Finetune site yet. When I made the Blue Music Mix cd's I put songs like Blind Melon's "Change" and Jackson Browne, "For A Dancer" on the end to try and lighten the mood a little. So,  now I need to create a play list to balance this one out...
